MARK FRIE, Performing Arts Center Executive Director

Mark Frie is proud to be named the first director of the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center and is glad to be back in his home state.

Mark brings to the PAC a broad background in performance experience, directing experience, and theatrical management.

He has performed all over the world in musicals, operas, and concerts. He made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2006 with the New England Philharmonic and has enjoyed performing with symphonies across the country.

He has performed and directed shows in such venues as Radio City Music Hall, North Shore Music Theatre (Boston), Music Theatre Wichita, Casa Manana Theatre in Ft. Worth, Denver Performing Arts Center, The Majestic, Fair Park Music Hall, and the Morton H. Meyerson Center.

Mark has shared the stage and directed stars such as Cyd Charisse, Faith Prince, Cathy Rigby, Gavin MacLeod, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bernadette Peters, etc… 

Mark was the artistic coordinator of the Turtle Creek Chorale in Dallas, TX. The chorale is the most recorded male chorus in the world. While with the chorale, Mark directed many performances at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and the Majestic Theatre, two of the southwest’s most renowned venues. Mark also worked on the management team of Radio City Music Hall during the 2007-2008 season.

SCOTT HEBERLING, Performing Arts Center Technical Director

After spending the last few years doing production design for the Broken Arrow Schools, Scott is very pleased to be a part of the permanent staff at the BAPAC.

Scott has spent the last 13 years living and working in the Tulsa area. He first cut his teeth locally co-producing four seasons as Heller Theatre’s Co-Artistic and Technical Director.  In 2000, he co-founded a non-profit performance group, Theatre Club, with whom he has regularly produced, directed, performed and designed for the last ten years and received numerous grants and awards.

Scott has worked with many local theatre and performance companies, variously, as a director, designer and performer, including Theatre Tulsa, Odeum Theatre Co., Thunder Road Theatre, Council Oak Men’s Choir, Midwestern Theatre Co., Act Now, Inc., Theatre North, OKRep, Theatreworks, and toured four years for the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.

Just previous to working at the BAPAC, he was the Director of Arts Programming for Youth Services, a Tulsa nonprofit that provides educational, counseling, and advocacy programs for teenagers.

KATE PIKE, Box Office/Patron Relations

Kate Pike received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma in Theatre Design and was involved with several productions with costume design and backstage craft.

Kate comes to Broken Arrow from the Tulsa Community College VanTrease Performing Arts Center where she served as ticket office assistant and house manager.

She has worked with various Broadway performers and regional favorites like Sam Harris and Bryon Stripling.
